    He is a man of curiosity.  He prefers the solace of the wilderness to the habitations of man.  His wardrobe is something out of cave man movie.  There are no glamorous meals or fancy parties in his life.  He only wants a simple existence with one purpose – to proclaim the news of the coming Messiah.     Years ago I had a receptionist job for a time.  I remember sitting at my desk, cheerily answering the phone and attending to the myriad of duties that went along with my job in this bustling youth ministry.  The position has a few challenges, but for the most part, I function with ease.  I definitely am in a safe, secure comfort zone.  After having left a difficult job prior to this one, I’m not looking for anything to ruffle my feathers.  I am happy and content to go about my work.   • How Does Your Garden Grow?

    I am an early morning person and I love going out to my garden in the cool of that time of day.  I find each journey outside a new adventure.  At times it seems as if things have sprouted overnight and I marvel at the wonders of God’s creation. As I move about, the sights and sounds inundate my senses – the massive bird chorus, the pink sky of the dawn, the squirrels chattering, the trees gently rustling in the breeze, and so on.  I find my garden to place of peace and contemplation.  While the work in my 1/2 acre garden is considerable, it is a place where I…
